2022 draws to a close

As 2022 draws to a close, we’re looking back on quite a turbulent year with high peaks and deep valleys.

When Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, it was the first large-scale war of aggression in Europe since World War II. Unimaginable to many of us and, among others, it completely shifted our energy market leading to price increase and inflation.

We like to see the conflict as an opportunity for the EU to not only free itself from dependency on Russian energy, but also fulfill the bloc’s commitment to climate protection by building out renewable energies and ramping up energy efficiency. In line with this, bio-LNG gains strong interest. It’s the quickest and easiest way to further decarbonize our heavy transport by trucks and ships as it can be utilized through the LNG infrastructure in place. Number of orders for liquefaction and bio-LNG fuelling stations have grown strongly in the past year.

Overall, 2022 has been a good business year for Cryonorm with record sales and turnover. Reaching over 70 LNG fuel stations in Europe, first orders for Cryonorm LCC serving our US, Canadian and South American customers, and further strengthening our #1 European vaporizer supplier position.
